PTO winner

Oh my days, cannot believe to forgot to tell you about this one.
In January, I was fortunate enough to accompany my Uncle Phil (www.pffoto.com) to Turkey for the annual Photo Training Overseas event. It’s a hard task but I accepted.

Many of the world’s top photographers were there (no joke) sharing their skills and knowledge to the other poor delegates who had to come to Turkey.
The week completely transformed the way I shoot weddings, teaching me how to understand better how light works and how to make my subjects look even better. We haven’t put our prices up yet, so get your weddings booked now!!!

During the week, I was planning to enter the PR Photography Competition and had collected up a portfolio of images to enter. I was so convinced that everyone there was better than me that I was on the toilet during the gala presentations when I was announced as the winner!!! So pulled down my dress and gracefully accepted my prize and status or PTO PR Photographer 2010.

I made some fantastic friends too.

Bump Photography

Babies 1 Comment

After the great success of Brighton Baby Expo came a flow of enquiries for bump photography, which is mums to be who would like to photograph their bump while pregnant. It was when I realised that there wasn’t many examples of this on the web galleries even though we have photographed many pregnant ladies.

So here is a selection of our pregnancy photographs…

Surf’s Up

Had I been waiting patiently for this wedding or what?!

Not only was Claire and Justin a treat for any photographer for good looks, but they were good fun, quirky and oh my days, so in love! With a surfing and beach theme for the day, from a wave style cake, to cockle shell name places and dashing blue flowers and bridesmaid dresses, I was in my element.

In a 1980’s convertible BMW, Claire arrived at the Hangleton Manor in Hove to meet her dashing groom-to-be waiting down the aisle. The ceremony was short, sweat and heartfelt and the celebrations long and fruitful.

I knew how excited Claire was about taking the photos and as I was fresh from training with Fellow Master Photographer, Simon John I was prepared with reflectors, manual flash, a few new techniques and contemporary poses. Below are just a couple of examples of photographs taken on the day.

Wishing Claire and Justin all the best for their future, looking forward to seeing you at the viewing.

A big thank you to all the staff at Hangleton Mannor for accommodating me and for being so friendly and helpful to me and all the guests.
